10月22日，2023腾冲科学家论坛·孟中印缅地区国际物流通道合作论坛在云南腾冲开幕。

The 2023 Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar (BCIM) International Logistics Channel Cooperation Forum, part of the 2023 Tengchong Scientists Forum (TCSF), kicked off in southwest Yunnan's Tengchong city on October 22.

当天还举行了以“推进孟中印缅地区国际物流通道运营联通”为主题的主旨论坛。

Following the opening, keynote speeches were delivered, focusing on the operational connectivity of the BCIM international logistics corridor.

活动期间，专家、学者、院士对保山国际物流通道进行了现场考察，并围绕“孟中印缅地区交通物流数字化发展与应用”“中国猴桥-缅甸甘拜地边境经济合作区建设”“边境贸易、过境运输安全与金融合作”内容展开演讲。

During the event, regional experts, scholars and academicians conducted on-site inspections of the logistic construction of Baoshan city. And their presentations revolved around topics of the digital application in the BCIM logistics, the Houqiao-Kanpaiti economic zone in the China-Myanmar border area, and cross-border trade, transportation safety and financial collaboration.

China is a good neighbor of Myanmar, and we value the bilateral friendship. Countries along the BCIM corridor have always been active in trade cooperation, goods transportation, and connectivity.

Through this forum, we hope to explore better ways of cooperation, increasing exchanges in agriculture, investment, trade, culture, customs service, reciprocal port opening and labor cooperation for mutual benefits and shared success.

腾冲处于“孟中印缅经济走廊”北线通道的核心区位，是云南对外开放的陆路前沿。千百年来，这条线路一直是中国通往南亚国家条件最优、路程最短、辐射人口最多的国际商路。依托这条商路，腾冲历代商贾云集、贸易繁荣，被誉为“极边第一城”。

Tengchong sits at the heart of the northern route of the BCIM Economic Corridor, representing Yunnan's forefront in overland openness. This route has historically been the shortest and most populous trade path for China to access South Asian nations. Capitalizing on this trade route, Tengchong has been a magnet for merchants over the centuries, flourishing in trade and earning the title “the First City at Frontier.”

今天的腾冲仍然延续着“国际大通道”的独特价值，积极响应国家“一带一路”倡议，大力发展口岸经济，努力打造成为中缅印大通道上集跨境贸易、跨境物流、跨境电商、跨境旅游为一体的跨境经济合作区，希望通过论坛，凝聚共识，优势互补、合作共赢。

Today, Tengchong continues to embody the unique value of this "International Mega Corridor." We ardently support the Belt and Road Initiative, emphasizing port economy development and endeavoring to transform Tengchong into a cross-border economic cooperation zone that features cross-border trade, logistics, e-commerce, and tourism. Through this forum, we aspire to forge consensus and complement each other for win-win cooperation.

近年来，孟中印缅各国坚持共商共建共享、政策沟通、设施联通、贸易畅通、资金融通、民心相通，为孟中印缅经济走廊建设奠定了坚实的基础。

In recent years, the BCIM nations have collectively upheld principles of wide consultation, joint construction and shared benefits, and a robust foundation for the BCIM Economic Corridor has been laid via policy coordination, facility connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people ties.

保山市全面实施县域高速公路“能通全通”“互联互通”工程，加快大瑞铁路和保山、腾冲机场改扩建及跑道延长等项目建设，将以此次论坛为契机，学好用好论坛成果，用足用好国家政策，更好融入孟中印缅地区国际物流通道和孟中印缅经济走廊建设，助推区域互联互通和合作交流，为推进“一带一路”建设，构建人类命运共同体作出新的贡献。

Baoshan has built up county-level highways to enhance regional connectivity, accelerating construction of the Dali-Ruili railway and extending the runways at the Yunrui and Tuofeng airports therein.

We’ll harness the outcomes of this forum, leverage national policies, and better participate in building the BCIM economic corridor. Further, we aim to boost regional interconnection, facilitate cooperation, and contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative and the global community of a shared future.
